Batch conversion without losing track of the originals

RAON Tools accepts up to ten files in supported audio and image modes. The limit is a convenience boundary, not a promise that every combination of ten long recordings or high-resolution photos will fit every device's memory.

The safer batch rule

Test one representative file first. When its format, quality, dimensions, and filename are correct, process the remaining files with the same setting. A batch that finishes quickly is not useful if every output has the wrong bitrate or dimensions.

Before selecting ten files

  1. Make a source folder. Copy or collect the originals without renaming them to false extensions.
  2. Use consistent material. Files in one batch should need the same output format and quality or size setting.
  3. Check free disk space. The browser may hold source files, results, previews, and a ZIP at the same time.
  4. Test one file. Choose a middle-sized file that represents the group, not only the smallest one.
  5. Decide the output naming. Keep source and result distinguishable before downloading all files.

Why ten small-looking files can still be heavy

Compressed file size is not the same as processing memory. A four-minute MP3 may be only a few megabytes, but decoding produces millions of audio samples. A 4000 × 3000 JPG may be 4 MB on disk but needs about 48 MB for one RGBA pixel buffer before additional canvases and previews.

What RAON Tools does during a batch

The interface queues selected files and processes them one by one. Sequential processing reduces peak work compared with decoding and encoding every item simultaneously. Each item shows its own state, so one failed source can be identified without confusing it with completed results.

Do not repeatedly click the process button while a batch is running. Keep the tab open, prevent the device from sleeping, and avoid changing tool modes until the current job finishes. On mobile, switching apps for a long time can cause the operating system to unload the tab.

Verify the batch before deleting anything

  1. Count outputs. Ten selected files should not be assumed to mean ten successful results.
  2. Open the first, middle, and last result. This catches a setting or queue problem without inspecting only one file.
  3. Check the outlier. Open the longest audio file or largest image because it places the most pressure on the workflow.
  4. Compare properties. Confirm duration and audio playback, or image dimensions, orientation, format, and transparency.
  5. Keep sources until the destination accepts the results. A successful local download does not guarantee that another service accepts it.

Individual downloads versus ZIP

Download individual files when only a few results matter or when you want to inspect each output immediately. Use ZIP when the whole batch must stay together. A ZIP packages the files; it does not improve their audio quality or further compress JPG and MP3 files very much because those formats are already compressed.

After downloading, open the ZIP and count the contents. Extract it before sending files to an app that does not read archives. If the recipient only needs two outputs, send those files directly rather than making them unpack an unrelated batch.

If one file fails

Leave the completed outputs alone and process the failed file by itself. Confirm that it opens in a normal player or image viewer. Check whether its extension, codec, dimensions, duration, or file size differs from the group. A single outlier is usually easier to diagnose outside a batch. 한국어 핵심 정리

RAON Tools
