About RAON Tools

File tools built around real everyday workflows

RAON Tools is an independent browser utility operated by RAON STUDIO. It grew from recurring file tasks such as preparing rehearsal audio, sharing lesson recordings, reducing oversized media, and converting files for forms or devices that only accept certain formats.

What RAON Tools does

The audio workspace converts common formats, creates smaller MP3 copies, trims recordings, and adjusts volume. The image workspace converts HEIC, JPG, PNG, and WebP files, compresses images, and changes pixel dimensions without cropping. Up to ten files can be selected for supported batch workflows.

Processing is designed to run in the browser. Selected files are not intentionally sent to a RAON Tools conversion server. This keeps the workflow simple and reduces unnecessary uploads, while also making performance dependent on the user's device and browser.

How we verify the tools

  1. Use controlled source files. We check supported formats with files that we generated or have permission to use.
  2. Confirm the output. A result is checked for file type, download behavior, playable audio or visible image output, duration or dimensions, and obvious corruption.
  3. Check more than one workflow. We test a single file and a batch, then repeat important tasks with different quality or size settings.
  4. Record limitations. Guides explain when browser codec support, memory, source quality, or metadata may change the result.
  5. Keep the source. Our guidance consistently recommends preserving the original until the exported file has been checked.

Tests are practical compatibility checks, not laboratory audio measurements. Browser updates and device differences can affect results, so the guides distinguish calculated estimates from observed behavior.

Who writes the guides

Guides are prepared and reviewed by the RAON STUDIO team that operates RAON Tools. We write about the workflows the site actually supports and link each guide back to the relevant tool. Every core guide displays its reviewer and latest review date.

RAON Tools does not claim that one format or setting is best for every person. The goal is to show the tradeoffs clearly: quality versus file size, compatibility versus editability, and convenience versus the limits of local browser processing.
