Cut audio online
Audio Trimmer
Trim an audio file by choosing a start time and an end time, then export the selected section as an MP3 file. This is useful for cutting long recordings into lesson clips, rehearsal snippets, quick previews, or short reference files.
How to trim audio
- Select a supported audio file in the main RAON Tools workspace.
- Enter the start time where the exported clip should begin.
- Enter the end time, or leave it automatic to keep the rest of the file.
- Run the tool and download the trimmed MP3 copy.
Useful trimming examples
- Practice: Cut only the section students need to repeat.
- Voice notes: Remove silence at the beginning or end.
- Review clips: Export a short part of a longer recording.
- Sharing: Make a smaller MP3 that contains only the useful segment.
Keep an original copy
The trimmer exports a new MP3 file and does not overwrite the selected source. Keep the original if you might need a different edit later, then use the trimmed output for sharing or quick playback.
Audio trimmer FAQ
Can I trim the middle of a file?
Yes. Set the start and end times around the section you want to export.
What happens if I leave the end time automatic?
The tool keeps audio from the selected start time to the end of the source file.
